Christmas Traditions

It has been a tradition in our family to go to the mall the weekend before Christmas. You may wonder why that is such a big deal, but when the boys were little I remember how we would drive 1 - 2 hours, one way, to go to a big mall and just walk around the mall and watch the people who were frantically scurring here and there, buying whatever they thought their loved ones would like. I LOVE the hustle and bustle of last-minute shoppers. I don't like to shop last-minute, but I like to watch people. Steve used to wait till the 24th to shop, so I guess it was a big tradition in our family. I hope my boys are breaking that tradition, although you can get some great deals by waiting, as long as they have what you want. I met my mom and three nieces in Toledo today and we walked through the mall (I didn't buy anything, but I had fun). It was fun being with my mom, Olivia, Jacynda and Heidi today. Thanks mom (and girls) for spending the day with me.

The girls had fun shopping too! You know they ONLY usually get to go to the mall with Cheryl or Grammy! HA! Since I just LOVE crowds! NOT!
